Single Reeds is a community wind band consisting mainly of members from the Malvern area. Formed in 1989 for the purpose of enjoying playing music with others, we have a membership of over 30 musicians, covering all ages from teens upwards.

 

Single Reeds consists of a range of woodwind and brass instruments over a rhythm section including keyboard, percussion and electric bass guitar.

 

We play an eclectic range of music from light entertainment through to Big Band and classic pop through to popular light classical pieces - a number of these are especially arranged for us.

 

We rehearse on a Sunday, every 2 - 3 weeks during the school term. Our main performing period is during the summer when we play at local fetes.
